Our programs and services are designed specifically for adults (ages 18 and over), who have developmental disabilities. However, our Sibshops program is designed for neurotypical children ages 8-18. We are happy to make exceptions if appropriate! Just reach out and connect with us!
Remarkable programs vary. Classes, clubs, groups, workshops and special events can range between 30 minutes to 2-hour sessions. Due to such a fluctuating current climate, we want to ensure you have as much flexibility as possible, so most of our programs run on a monthly cycle with new and exciting things being offered each month. Our FUNdamental classes (Life Skills, Social Skills or Job Skills) meet twice per week with a rotating curriculum so you can enroll over and over again!
Our goal is to make the virtual experience easy like a Sunday morning! All of our programs are delivered through Zoom, so you will need access to high-speed internet on a desktop, laptop or tablet as well as latest version of the Zoom application. You will also need a camera/webcam, a working microphone and… that’s it! Once you enroll, we will send you all of the details you will need to prepare and get started. We recommend logging into Zoom 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled class to test your sound and camera, and to enter your name so everyone knows who you are. If you need any assistance with these items, please let us know – we’re happy to help!
Being independent takes lots of practice and we totally get that! So as hard as it may be, we ask that parents try their best to take a step back and scaffold independence. This includes allowing members to participate and interact in our virtual classes without prompting and assistance if possible. This freedom is empowering and will contribute to our members feeling more comfortable in coming out of their shell, engaging with peers and sharing their thoughts and ideas during programs. We ask that parents allow their adult children to attend our classes by “zooming in” independently just as they would when attending school, therapies or other programming. If you need help with this, we’re here to support you! Please reach out and our team will help you to develop a plan!
No problem! The beauty of our Virtual Clubhouse is that members can attend as little or as much as desired, all for one low monthly fee and without any penalty. For our FUNdamental programs however, each week’s lessons build on one other, so in order to provide you with the most meaningful and beneficial experience, we suggest that you check your calendar and know that you can commit to the full session when signing up for Life Skills, Social Skills or Job Skills. We also understand that things happen, so while we are unable to offer any credits, refunds or discounts, we are happy to provide you with notes, updates, and activities from any missed FUNdamental classes.
Our goal is to NEVER ask someone to wait for services, especially now when social connections are so important. While programs will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, please know, we will do whatever we can to eliminate wait lists for everyone.
For our FUNdamental skills classes, each week’s lessons build on each other, so in order to provide you with the most meaningful and beneficial experience, we suggest you wait until the next enrollment date. However, for programs like the Virtual Clubhouse and many others, we will happily pro-rate you so that you can join us at any time.
We do! We currently accept several types of insurance for therapy/counseling, but also a sliding fee scale to ensure our services are as accessible to everyone as possible. Please contact us to find out more.
All major credit cards are accepted right through a highly secure checkout process on our website.
Let’s chat! It is most important to us that we provide you with a remarkable experience, so once we get to know all about you, your abilities and interests, we can make suggestions as to which Remarkable programs will be the best fit for you.
